A Message of Hope

My name is Jason Lennox, and for many years I struggled with drugs, alcohol, depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts and plans. As a result of following the direction of those who came before me, and deep self-exploration, I've found release from what I consider the most misunderstood and baffling condition on the planet - addiction. It is my wish that in my story you find something to connect with and, in turn, discover ideas for living that bring you peace and freedom from the hopelessness, suffering and tragedy that is addiction.

God

Through my times of tragedy and triumph, one thing has become more and more clear - there is a Power underlying all in this Universe. Some use the word God; some use other words and definitions. The beautiful thing is this - the way in which we find or define this Power is not as important as believing in something, something outside of ourselves.

Gratitude

I once had a counselor tell me "If you stay grateful, you'll stay sober." I'd venture a step further and say that if you stay grateful, you'll stay happy, and at peace.

"So, gratitude is the solution to both anger and fear, and instead of just acting grateful, I think of specific situations that I’m grateful for, little ones and big ones" ~Tony Robbins

Generosity

Living a life filled with generosity has turned my life of darkness and tragedy into one that's full, beautiful and meaningful. Finding purpose in serving others, and the world, saved my life.

"Love is not patronizing and charity isn't about pity, it is about love. Charity and love are the same -- with charity you give love, so don't just give money but reach out your hand instead" ~Mother Teresa
